The Space

Welcome to The Gisele, a vibrant boutique apart-hotel made up of just six spacious, apartment-style suites—created for groups who want the energy of New Orleans outside and a comfortable place to land in between. Set in a beautifully renovated historic building, this home brings the spirit of the city to life with exposed brick, high-end finishes, and bold local art that feels unmistakably New Orleans the moment you walk in.

The layout is especially group-friendly: a long, private hallway leads you past the bedrooms and into the social heart of the suite—an airy, open living/kitchen/dining space where everyone can actually gather. It’s made for morning coffee, pre-dinner plans, takeout feasts after a festival, and relaxed nights in with a movie on the Smart TV.

All four bedrooms are intentionally consistent—so no one feels like they drew the short straw. Each room features a king bed and thoughtful sleep-first touches like sound machines, room-darkening shades, extra pillows and blankets, clothing storage, and ceiling fans with central A/C. With three full bathrooms, mornings stay smooth even with a full house, and you’ll find the essentials stocked for a refreshed start and an easy wind-down.

For longer stays (or just packing light), you’ll love the practical comforts, including an in-unit combo washer/dryer, plus an iron, ironing board, and drying rack. Accessibility is simple too, with elevator access and stepless entry in the building.

One of the best perks is outside: The Gisele’s shared, fenced backyard features a turf-lined pool area, sun loungers, and outdoor seating—an easy place to reset between adventures or soak up the sun before heading out.

And then there’s the location. You’re right by historic St. Charles Avenue with the streetcar line close by, making it easy to explore the French Quarter, Downtown, and beyond without overthinking logistics. Whether you’re here for a friends’ trip, reunion, graduation, or a packed event weekend, this suite gives you the space to stay together—and a home base that feels like part of the New Orleans experience.

You’ll be hosted by Ryan and Marcia, who manage The Gisele with the help of HOLT, a well-known name in the guest experience space. HOLT supports guests with 24/7 assistance, so no matter what comes up during your stay, help is always just a message away.

 

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive access to the entire 4BR/3BA apartment, including four private bedrooms, four full bathrooms, a comfortable living space, and a fully equipped kitchen. You’ll also enjoy access to The Gisele’s shared amenities: the pool and turfed garden with sun loungers and outdoor seating. Entry is via self check-in, and the building offers elevator + stepless access.

 

Free street parking is typically easy to find on this block—often right out front. The Gisele operates as a contactless boutique apart-hotel, so there’s no traditional front desk, but staff are on-site some days and our team is always reachable if you need anything

 

Access notice: There may be rare times when staff need to enter (e.g., maintenance or safety-related items). When possible, we’ll communicate in advance and coordinate with you. In an emergency, we may enter without prior approval to protect guests, the home, or the building.

 

Interaction

The Gisele operates as a contactless boutique apart-hotel, so there isn’t a traditional front desk and most check-in/out is fully self-serve. Ryan and Marcia are on-site some days and may be around the property, and most guest support is handled by HOLT Property Management, which manages communications and day-to-day operations. The Neighborhood

You’re at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and St. Charles Avenue, one of the most iconic corridors in New Orleans. This spot makes it easy to enjoy both sides of the city—Uptown charm (Garden District vibes, historic homes, cafés, and restaurants) and quick access to Downtown and the French Quarter. With the St. Charles streetcar line right outside, you’re perfectly positioned for festival weekends, museum days, and nights out without needing to plan your whole trip around driving. The area is typically quiet at night, and we haven’t had issues with guests during stays. As with any city, we recommend standard smart-traveler habits—stay aware of your surroundings, keep valuables out of sight, and use a rideshare if you’re heading home late or walking alone.

 

Getting Around

Getting around from here is easy because the St. Charles streetcar stop is right on the corner. It’s a fun, scenic way to travel—ride it toward Canal Street (about 15 minutes), which puts you right at the edge of the French Quarter. If you want the fastest door-to-door option, Uber/Lyft is typically about 7 minutes to the French Quarter and is usually the most convenient choice at night. Walking to the Quarter is absolutely doable if you enjoy a longer city stroll—plan on about 30 minutes—but most guests prefer the streetcar or a quick rideshare for comfort and timing.

 

If you’re driving, there’s free street parking, and it’s typically readily available on this block, often right out front; just keep an eye on posted signs and street cleaning schedules.

 

For Uptown, you’re already on the main corridor—hop on the streetcar in the other direction for a classic ride, with rideshare as an easy backup anytime. To get all the way Uptown near Tulane, it’s about a 20-minute Uber/Lyft or around a 35-minute streetcar ride.

 

Other things to note

We offer two types of damage coverage for your stay: a non-refundable damage waiver of $53.50 USD, that covers accidental damage and normal wear and tear (excluding house rule violations), or a refundable security deposit of $500 USD, held on your payment method before check-in and released after your stay if no damage is found. Guests can choose either option based on their preference.

 

Before arrival, guests must sign a rental agreement, submit identification, and provide contact details in order to receive the boarding pass with check-in instructions and property information. We may request a copy of a government-issued ID for each guest on the reservation. If you are booking for commercial purposes, please notify us in advance, as terms and pricing may vary.

 

As much we love your furry friends, we cannot accommodate pets in our rooms. We cannot host guests arriving with pets.

 

Please note that check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and is subject to availability.

 

Street parking is available nearby; however, please be mindful of street cleaning schedules, posted signs, and local parking regulations. We have a strict no-smoking policy inside the suite, and pets are not allowed.

 

The swimming pool is available for guest use as a shared amenity. Please follow all posted pool rules and be respectful of other guests.
