Opened in early 2023, HOLT’s 1001 Arabian Nights is a timeless statement piece – daring enough, traveled, exquisite in taste, and emanating a mysterious yet welcoming charm in each and every detail. If our portfolio of properties is something Anna Wintour of Interiors would curate, this property’s Met Gala theme is 1000 Arabian Nights. Our property is thoroughly designed to satisfy the 5-star travelers’ needs.

Two types of rooms are available in the property – two rooms with two double beds each, and two rooms with a king bed each – all with en suite bathrooms. The rooms in our guesthouse present with locally-made custom furniture, sophisticated finishes, and 14-foot ceilings. Air conditioning & heating, SmartTVs with streaming apps, and a dedicated workspace round out the offerings of each room. Plenty of clean linens, blankets, pillows & towels provided!

Guests will appreciate the open spaces, a multitude of patios, terraces, balconies, and courtyards, all catching the light in unique ways throughout the day. 

In addition to the guest rooms and outdoor areas, our property features multiple shared dining areas and living areas, ideal for mingling with other well-traveled visitors.

Guest Access

Guests have private use of their bedroom and bathroom during their stay. Guests will be given private, unique door codes for their stay, and bedroom closets have locks. The spacious common areas, patios, and dining areas are shared with other guests. HOLT’s housekeeping staff will be on-site during daytime hours to ensure high-quality service throughout your stay. In the event of an emergency, HOLT reserves the right to enter the guest rooms without prior guest approval.

Interaction with guests

HOLT Balcones is a contactless Guesthouse, meaning we do not have a traditional front desk. Guests will check-in online prior to arrival to gain access to HOLT’s Boarding Pass, which gives guests entry to their rooms, and all the information they need to make their trip an enjoyable one.

Around the property during most working hours is HOLT’s cleaning staff. HOLT staff may enter rooms without guest approval to clean and maintain the rooms and property, as is standard procedure in all hotels.

The Neighborhood

The property is located in Rinconada de Los Balcones and nestled into the hills, one of the most affluent residential neighborhoods in San Miguel de Allende.  Giving you full home and backyard views of El Charco del Ingenio, a botanical garden and nature conservatory. Get to walk along greenery-lined trails, learn about different species of local cacti, or even spot some local wildlife. 

A 15-minute walk to the city center, the neighborhood has quick and easy access to Mexico City highways and shopping at Luciernaga Plaza. Our property sits at the edge of the center of the city, making this place the perfect place to explore everything that the magical city of San Miguel has to offer.

San Miguel de Allende is one of the most attractive and charming cities in Mexico, well-known for its culture, and vibrant art. San Miguel’s stunning architecture, colorful streets, and enchanting traditions have made this town in Guanajuato one of the most important destinations for tourism in Mexico and a designated UNESCO world heritage site. The city has also been awarded as The Best City in the World to live in more than once!

Getting Around

You can walk into the center of San Miguel in about 15 minutes. Guests have plenty of parking on the street right outside the property, which is monitored daily by security. If you would like airport pickup and dropoff, or to have a private driver, HOLT can arrange this service for you. In addition, taxis and Ubers are available in the city at all hours of the day for very reasonable rates. 

Other things to note

All guests must sign a HOLT rental agreement, submit identification & provide contact details before arrival to receive HOLT’s Boarding Pass with check-in and property information. HOLT reserves the right to request a copy of a government-issued ID for each guest in the reservation.

The property has a CCTV security camera on the exterior of the property with a view of the entrance of our property. There are no recording devices in private areas of the unit. All recordings are deleted after 30 days.
